• Do not wash the casserole dish with steel wool; it is best to wash it with a regular sponge only.

• Do not soak the casserole dish in water.

• After use, wash it with vinegar and salt or baking soda to remove food residue, then leave it to dry completely.

• It is not recommended to use tissues or any towel to dry the casserole dish.

• For a deeper clean, place water, vinegar, salt, or lemon juice inside the casserole dish, then place it over a flame for 10 minutes and discard the water.

• It is best not to store the casserole dish in a kitchen cupboard or any enclosed space until it is completely dry.

• When using it over an open flame, start with low heat and gradually increase the heat to medium.

• The tagine can be used without burning or aging; aging occurs gradually with use.

• Burning or aging is optional and can be achieved by coating the tagine with molasses, clarified butter, or oil, then placing it in the oven for half an hour.
